2. do any research that needs to be done.

3. think with your pencil or mouse in your hand~!

4. your three best thumbnail sketches and turn them into a comp.

Resnick (2003) :

5 important stages of designing..

1. define the problem and establish the objectives.

2. do the research.

3. develop the ideas by brainstorming

4. analyze ideas in terms of the project objectives

5. implement the final.

Victor Cheung (2007) :

4 parts of case studies..

1.assignment (the background of the specific project)

2. development (from research to concept)

3.solution (what the final outcome is)

4. application (as simple as it may seem for the last part )

2 Fail utama dalam reka bentuk grafik, iaitu >>

1. dpi_ dots per inch

merupakan ukuran kepada resoluton atau skrin atau kertas cetakan dan dots juga dikenalkan sebagai pixcels.Resolution atas komputer ialah 72 dpi , manakala mesin cetakan spt Laser White 300 dpi dan mesin photo imagesetter boleh melebihi 2540 dpi.

2. proof copy

Pembetulan dan penambahbaikan ke atas salinan (proof clopy) dapat membantu pelanggan membuat pilihan seperti yang dikehendaki.

3. EPSF _ Encapsulated PostScript File

File ini merupakan satu file imej yang boleh digunakan semasa menyimpan imej.Ianya membenasrkan data PostScript disimpan, diubahsuai dan mudah dibuka sama ada dalam Mac atau sistem lain.

 

4. JPEC _ Joint Photographic Experts Group

Piawaian ke atas imej yang telah dipermudahkan , iaitu file menjadi ringan (resolution yang rendah) dan mudah digunakan semula.

 

5. RIP _ Raster Image Processor

Satu alat yang telah diprogramkan bagi menterjemahkan arahan yang terdapat dalam helaian cetakan dan hasil grafik kepada bentuk patern dot (bitmap) yang digunakan untuk percetakan atau dilihat di atas skrin . Data yang diperolehi daripada Mac atau PC ditukarkan kepada patern dot (bitmap) sebelum menjadi file RIP.(imagesetter) yang bertujuan menghasilkan filem atau plat cetakan.

6. TIFF _ Tagged Image Processor

Format File grafik ini dibangunkan oleh Aldus , Adobe dan Apple bertujuan untuk menyesuaikan imej imbasan dan file bitmap yang besar. TIFF direka bentuk bagi membolehkan MacDOS menggunakannya.
